More beach shots! This time, though, it was much chillier!!!
My sister E on the jetty.
DS looking out at the ocean.
Sandy toes!
This is called Scargo Tower and it's a great stone tower with crazy metal circular stairs inside that looks out over Scargo Lake on Cape Cod. There's a cool tale about Scargo lake and now it was dug by hand by a Native American boy for his girlfriend who had lost her father. Then, when the girlfriend saw it, her tears filled it. Or so my 10 year old sisters tell me ;)

Day 53
Day 52
Boy meets grasshopper. Seriously, this grasshopper had NO self-preservation instinct. It just sat there and let a two year old poke it. It would not hop away. I finally had to force it to hop (otherwise known as giving it a little toss) so I could retrieve my kid and get him out of the parking lot! Taken with P&S. I'm so glad I now carry that thing everywhere!!!

Day 48
Ugh, I'm a WEEK behind! I have no idea where my time hasgone, but I just had none last week. Hopefully this week will be better!
Does ANYONE know what this tree is? There are several houses around with them and I just think they're gorgeous! I finally managed to snap a pic. I had to do it quickly, though, because the neighbor was staring at me. Only taken with P&S.

Day 47
Day 46
These are from Saturday! This is the reason I was kicked out of the house!
I took the first one, DH used my camera and took the rest since I wasn't allowed there...
The DISGUSTING old stairs. They had porous paint on them, so they were totally impossible to clean. GROSS!
My dad and the old stair foundation - stairs are GONE!
The mess!
It is all gone now and they've put in brand new stair foundations and lovely temporary plywood steps. Once they rebuild the walls, the stairs will go on. We've widened the staircase by 5 inches, added a wall and put a closet in where the hallway was. It should be GREAT when it's done!

Day 45
This is from Friday. I was kicked out of my house all day Friday and Saturday because of construction work being done and then I had to work on Sunday, so I'm quite far behind - AGAIN! These are all taken with my p&S, because I couldn't drag my Canon all over with me.
Here we are crashing a friend's house for the morning. Her dog that DS loves
The ubiquitous Ikea tunnel - seriously, who doesn't have this thing?

Day 44
LIQUID!!!!! I'm finally getting around to doing the weekly challenge of liquid. DS's morning cereal inspired me. Mmmmm, Gorilla Munch!
I loved the chin drips and the slight milk bubbles on his lips!
Here's the cereal in milk
Saw my water bottle there and thought it could be interesting. This is taken looking down into the water bottle

Day 43
Day 42
Trip to the zoo!!!!!
I was going to let DS walk, but when he saw his friends in strollers he HAD to ride, so he hopped in the double with his buddy and my friend carried her younger DD in a sling so he could ride. Doesn't he look so proud of himself! Oh, and the outfits - it was supposed to be 80 and when we got there it was 58 and blowing like a monsoon. That's a 22 FRICKIN degree difference!!! Oh it was cold. We were all wearing tank tops and went scavenging through our cars for warmer clothes. Needless to say, we didn't stay long and the kids got the power tour of the zoo. Oh well. (His friend's face is blurred, because I didn't think to ask permission to post pics of him.)
Picture this - four moms who nursed their babies, two of us proud extended nursers, marveling over the sweetness of the baby cow nursing. I'm snapping pics, we're all oohing and aaahing. Then the mother cow, KICKED her baby in the freaking HEAD! Yep, we all pretty much yelped like a group of little girls. it was horrifying. ahh, the beauty of nature...
Can't post zoo pics without posting elephants (or ephanants as DS calls them).

Day 40
My mothers day present!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, my new flash for my camera. FUN! I still have to figure it out, but it sure is cool! I think the funny tint to the picture is because I have a blue ceiling in my bathroom and the flash was bouncing off of it. Not sure, though, since it's new. Trust me, though, it was the best of the bunch. It's hard to take a picture of yourself in a tiny bathroom!
Annette - I am SOOOOO getting one of those lightspheres now that I have this!
:)
The other funny thing about this is you can see my new hair color. I put some henna in it to go red for the summer. I like it! It took me a bit to be sure, but I think I'll keep it for a while. The fun part about this was at work today, the kids were SOOOOOO freaked out by it. One of them kept giggling and staring at my head and asking if it would still be red next week. I'm not sure if you know, but I teach Hebrew School to children with disabilities. Most of my kids have Autism Spectrum Disorder. They do NOT love change. My red hair was change. I should have waited a week or so.....
Here's an attempt to add some video. This is my kid, the future soccer star. Seriously, this kid can dribble a ball! He can actually turn with it and he knows to turn his back to keep us away. Pretty impressive for a two year old!

Day 39
Here are some pics from Saturday. It started out sweet until he CRUSHED the living hell out of it.
Inspecting the carnage.
Showing off his forward roll for one of his neighborhood girlfriends.
No idea what this flower is, but I had to keep with the theme of taking pictures of my neighbors' yards without them discovering it. ;)
Gram and Maggie, this is for you! Here are the white ones I was mentioning. Pretty, eh?

Day 38
My two favorite subjects - My DS and flowers! I had fun today! Everything is totally SOOC. I haven't done a thing.
Here is one that I just LOVE. The color is so vibrant. I thought it was so cool when I pulled it off the camera.
All day I've been wanting to take a pic of a dandelion puff. I finally got out tehre this evening to do it and I'm really happy with them!
This one I just love the way the focus made it look almost like snowflakes.
This is how I found my sweetie pie when I came back downstairs after running upstairs for a minute. he's so funny!
WOOHOO - fully caught up!

Day 37
Just some fun with flowers from today. I LOVE taking pics of flowers!!!!! These were taken with my Sony Cybershot, so they're a bit grainy. Don't we always want what we can't have? I used to wish I had a camera in my pocket. Now, I keep my sony in my purse, but when I see great flowers like these, I wish I had my Rebel. I can't win.
